The Cactus Queen is in the Alamo Lake area of AZ. I have tried to get there a number of times but something always screws it up. Whether it be high river levels, bad coordinates or lack of time, it is always something.
Has any of you actually been there? Did you find anything? Should I just blow it off as not worth my time?
Inquiring minds (mine) want to know.

That does look like a seriously remote area - do you have verified coordinates and/or is the maps search fairly accurate? Which way would you approach from?

He hasn't been on in a while, but maybe you'll luck out, and he'll pop in with some type of info. beefjello

By Alamo Lake.
One time I had all of the time in the world to find it but the coordinates were wrong. It took me to a waterfall and it was in the middle of nowhere. I got home and discovered that some asshole at work had got into my folders and monkeyed with my coordinates to try to be funny. When I raised hell about how that could have gotten someone killed, it got real quiet and I never found out who it was, but there are very few people who can access your computer files so it had to be someone in Admin or IT.
Last year the river was too high and dangerous to cross to get there. So far I have never made it there. I am not sure I even care that much any more, but want to know if it is worth continuing the hunt or if it is not that great any way.
