starting to spend too much on rocks
Started tumbling a couple of months ago but now have four tumblers. Very interested in the hobby.

Harbor Freight has 15% off any one item this weekend. For beginning tumblers, that makes the dual barrel 3+3 lb. tumbler $59.50 which is a bargain. I have two I run next to my Lortone 33b and they've been going for a year now without a hitch, not even belts. I also have a Rebel 17 and a Lortone q12/66 with three barrels. I think the HF is a good place to begin if you're not sure you're going to stick with it. Good luck!

I started with the Chicago Electric dual barrel tumbler from Harbor Freight and (even though that tumbler lasted all of 6 months) I have never looked back.

I have two of the HF 3+3 tumblers. One is spinning now and the other is torn apart on my work bench. I found a kit on Amazon that converts it from plastic bushings to ball bearings and I'm in the process of upgrading. If you take the time to make some adjustments on them the belts last a long time. At 59.50 I'll pick up another one for sure.
