Tires or no tires, the threat of tariffs is going to force my hand earlier than I would like. Looks like I get to order a Kingsley North cabber today after taking a chunk out of savings. Better get my Etsy store up. So excited!
Those folks at Highland Park have got to be furiously scrambling to figure out how to continue operations next year.

Get your tires. Necessities over luxuries. But if it doesn’t work out, you could always pick up stripping as a side hustle 😂

Get your tires. Necessities over luxuries. But if it doesn’t work out, you could always pick up stripping as a side hustle 😂 The Kitsap penninsula may be hard up for any kind of strip club but I don't think they're THAT hard up. I already got the tires, just needed two thankfully but they're winter rated so I don't try drifting in the Chevy whenever there's a minute amount of moisture on the ground. It was getting rather bad, I bought some tires from an auto shop instead of Les Schwab and well... they were probably some of the worst wet weather driving tires I've owned. I still had half their life left before I swapped out. No point in having tires that had bad wet traction in this part of the world. My rock & gem club is having a show later on this month, I'm hoping someone there is selling a used cabbing machine to take some of the sting off the price tag. Most of the good stuff I see online are nowhere near my neck of the woods so I may end up ordering a new one. - Rob

I just had to buy a new set. That was $1000. Sucks, but it’s a necessity. Hope to see some cabs soon when you get your cabber.

Tariffs won't affect the KN cabber. It's made in the U.S.

Tariffs won't affect the KN cabber. It's made in the U.S. Does that include components? I'm curious about things like the motor, pump or machined parts really. So many things are made in China that aren't out in the open, I automatically assume some expensive components will come from there. Thankfully Kingsley isn't in the same fix that Highland Park will be in. - Rob

This requires that the machine and components are entirely manufactured and assembled in either US, Mexico or Canada. I don't know if that will help you, time will tell??

It's a Dayton motor that says it's made in Mexico.

I should buy tires too. I probably will be going to the Kitsap show, pretty much the last one of the year for Washington.

Thanks for looking! dshanpnw Yeah, they keep saying we're going to get snow this year but at this point it's basically throwing darts at the meteorological dartboard. You might see me at the show, I'm volunteering for a couple of things including 2 display cases. Are you vending there or just visiting? I've heard it's a packed venue this year. - Rob

I think all of the motors on my Covington and Kingsley North equipment are from Mexico. Don't know that there are any smaller motors made in the USA any more. I think most of the belts come from somewhere else also.

The cases are all together but I'm not entirely sure how they're going to be organized this year. There will be quite a few though. Heh one will be my sphere collection and the other I think will be a couple of things jammed into one. I think I'll have an illustration of beginning to end of making a cab and perhaps a few display pieces as well. Hoping to score some of that serpentine that will be there this year.
