I want to fashion a fence to cut 1/4" slabs on my Lortone 8" trim saw. I've thought about slotted L brackets with wing nuts. Now wondering if rare earth magnets on an L shaped board would work? The ones on Amazon have a hole for an included screw and are said to hold 120 lbs.

If you are thinking what I think you are thinking, it would probably work. Use more magnets than you think you need.
