I recently bought this 36 inch saw at an online auction. I'd really wanted a 24, but didn't want to pass it up. Where I live I may never see another one. It seems to be in really good condition, but doesn't have any branding or serial information to ID it, and the sellers were a 3rd party liquidating an estate, so they didn't know anything about it. It's got a 5 horse Baldor motor, but that could be anything. (or could be aftermarket.)
If any of you recognize it I'd be grateful for anything you could tell me.

I don't have a clue on the manufacturer but congrats on your auction win. That does look like a beast!

I am going to go with Highland park, the vise just looks off. Maybe the 36" saws had a different style vise.

looks like hp guts in a home made shell Even the vice? RockingRuralMo got more pics of the vice assembly, can't really see how it clamps down.

That's the Wiener Crusher 2000. Stand too close to the feed gear and maybe you will figure out how it got its name.

I think that is a B&R, but I would need to see the feed dogs and more of the clamp system.

Looks like someone took parts off of several saws and made one. The bottom of the carriage and the carriage rail assembly is old HP, the feed dogs are HP but the feed dog release lever is not. The top of the carriage is well built home made but I still cant see how it tightens up, almost looks like a B&R clamp but its missing the tightening dog. The platform above the saw collets is Barranca Diamond style.
Maybe he got a box of saw parts in an auction or something!

So basically a Frankensaw, but no torches or pitchforks needed...

I am thinking that the clamping mechanism is missing, it looks like there was some type of block between the two bolts and front vise plate. Cool saw regardless. Fire it up and start slabing. 😎

Need pics of the back of the vise, looks like it may move so maybe the stationary part is the sliding part and the back tightens?
