Hi! My name is Beth and I have been doing pebble art for a couple of years but I am attending my first vendor’s market this Saturday. Interested in where you all find rocks to buy.

Welcome from Dubai! Good luck with the market! If you say where you are, perhaps someone close can help you find rocks.

Welcome from Southern Nevada
I collect most my materials, but rock shows are a good place as well as craft stores or even hardware stores with the landscaping pebbles.

Welcome from Missouri. Are you using polished or unpolished for your art?

I also would love to see your art. When I think of pebble art I think of smooth unpolished landscape rocks like you'd get at a hardware store like James said.

Welcome from Washington state. If you're looking for smooth rounded rocks that don't need to be tumbled you can self collect them at rivers and beaches or buy a bag of river rock at your local big name home improvement store. You could probably get them at a landscaping supply or nursery too. I buy rocks to tumble from rock and gem shows near me. I also buy them online from reputable stores like Kingsley North or The Gem Shop, and Rock Shed, which turn out beautiful, but they are expensive and you have to tumble them to get them smooth and rounded. The vendor's market sounds exciting. Please share some photos of your creations.
