Hi all. I sent Don some pink limbcast a couple of weeks ago and he decided to send me some of the pet wood he collects locally up in Canada. You sure do have some nice stuff there Don. Here's what he sent me And some closeups Thanks Don, I really appreciate it. I'm gonna keep a few of the larger pieces for display pieces and the others will get cabbed or tumbled.

Nice stuff, I like the golden color. Maybe it has some sap infused in it.

I like them. Very "wood" looking. By that I mean that they still look like real wood even though they have petrified.

Yea, I tried cutting some of it on my chop saw, and it's definetly not real wood anymore. Just kidding. It does look like regular drift wood though. Very cool. I looked to see if there were any petrified termites in there, but didn't see any.

Oooooooo that's some really nice looking stuff, very cool. Those are going to make some great cabs in spite of petrified termites. *smile*

Stoner, if your going to tumble some of that I have one little piece of advise.... Don't use little cut up pieces of regular wood for fill in the later stages. (I remember you mentioning useing hard wood pieces for buffers -so do I)
I was inches from dumping my tiny wood cubes into my petwood. Would have been a nightmare for sorting.

That has to be the most appealing looking stuff I've seen on this site yet! I love the darker stuff and the "wood look" of this stuff has me sold! Absolutely the most beautiful stuff I've seen so far!
