Hi all. I just worked up these two pietersite cabs and another one off that chunk of poppy jasper. There's a short movie for those who can view it on the flash of the pietersite. 30x40mm 30x22mm freeform poppy jasper And here's the movie.

Love the cab, but don't wait for the movie academy to call. Just teasing.

Thanks John. Kim sent me that slab of the pietersite. Most of it is the tan colored stuff, but check the movie out, and you can see the blue flashing through the tan areas.

Beautiful cabs Ed. That's a nice material. I love the freeform. Movie doesn't work. I need to update my antiquated software. Someday... sigh.

Sorry the movie doesn't work for you Joe. I made it to show the blue flash as you move the cab around in the light.

Very neat looking material, it's a new one on me. Honest opinion is I think the stills show the cab off better than the video, but I can see the potential for video, and kudos to you for exploring this new photobucket feature. Hope your jobs for tomorrow don't take up too much of your day ;D

sands that is the one i paid so much for then sent to you to slab up. ed your 2nd cab looks more like what pietersite is suppose to look like. i think i got ironstone with a bare amount of pietersite in it. i wasn't very happy with that stone mainly because i paid pietersite price and didn't get what i expected.
i recently got a new piece and it looks like what pietersite is suppose to look like.

Cool video- But I was bummed as I thought I would see you making the cab- not just wiggling your hand around (j/k) also who has the British accent?

Dang it all, this puter's not "up to date" enough to view it. Add another puter to do to my list! The cab is gorgeous, hope I can get to see the flash. Thanks for the effort though Ed!!

Stoner, is that a small section of blue in the poppy jasper cab? (Lower Left side)
On my screen, that small section looks very similar to the top Pietersite cab.

Cher, thanks for the compliments. I'm using my Sony digital camera. They're not the best videos, but I'm afraid that if I use the highest quality setting, you folks with dial up would never be able to see it. As it is, this little video is 7.1mb. Stephan, that was my wife talking to the cats! Don't ask!!!
Arkansan, actually that little section is clear. There are quartz veins running through the whole rock.
