Hi all. I just received the 2 slabs I won on auction over last weekend. One is a red graveyard plume and the other is my favorite, carey plume agate. Carey Plume Red graveyard plume And a cab from the graveyard plume, 30x22mm I worked up some other cabs too, I posted them in the cab section.

Wow! Red Graveyard Plume is a first for me. Ed I gotta say too that them slabs don't last long before you cab them up. Gee let 'em live a couple of days at least before ya chop em up! Just kidding. I really like the instant gratification of seeing your cabs appear so fast.....mel

This red graveyard is a first for me too Mel. But when I saw it and heard it calling my name, I just had to have it. Besides, it was on auction with the carey plume and I can't pass up a slab of carey. Oh, and I did leave the other half of the graveyard slab alone...at least til tomorrow anyway!!!

*LOL* Well heck Ed at least you let part of it breathe for a bit. I always try to cut my cabs from the best part of a slab and it just's wastes so much that I flat hate cutting nice ones up. I have to find a replacement of better quality before I can stand to put my slabs into the " to cab" box. The Luna I got at the estate sale today finally gives me a nice slab to cab. I liked the other one so much I've had it sitting for about a year while I dithered over whether to cut it up or not......mel

Excellent job on that cab. Cool how you show the slab first followed by what you did with it.

That Carey plume looks like a forest fire. What an amazing picture. Thanks for sharing.

Ya, Red or pink Plume Graveyard is very rare stuff. Regency would be a common trade name for it as well. Sometimes it gets really odd. Recently Banjo was over and gave me a slab cut from a piece he found in my over stocks. Its a type of Graveyard were the plumes were bright white, and more like flame looking, with marcasite moss plumes under the white ones, then the center was a blood red jasper. Very odd. Very cool stuff none the less.

That piece of carey plume is one of the best ones I've gotten, and is also the cheapest. I got both slabs for $4.35, with no shipping charge. I may as well put in a plug for rawk11, the ebay seller I got these from. Awhile back I won two auctions and they charged me an extra $3.50 for shipping. So instead of charging the $4.55 shipping on these 2 slabs, they just took care of the whole thing. Nice folks to do business with.

I just fot some lilypad jasper and about 10 slabs from them. Fairly cheap. Ed, you are lucky I saw your ID just a half second before I clicked my bid on that plume agate. HaHa. I am sure you will do more with it than me anyway. I have so much stuff to cut right now, I think I need more saws.
