Hi all. Well it's been a while since I had a finished batch. Seems I lost my rythym on keeping the stages flowing so I always have something ready to go to polish. Something to do with my desire to play with the grinder. But here is my latest tumble, a hodge-podge of stuff. Put on your drool bibs. The whole batch. Some closeups A Montana Moss Agate back-lit. Funny, the word SONY showed up on this one. Some of the red and yellow moss agates. The recipe for these was 45/70, til they were shaped, 120/220, 8 days, 400, 9 days, 1000, 7 days, and 10 days in Tin Oxide polish. Thanks for looking and sorry about all the pics.

Well we know there isn't a problem with the pics now don't we, except maybe you forgot some? *smile* I love the sony agate, that's just cool and those mossy things too and the red/yellow one in the 5th pic down, just below the rhodonite ... what a shine, how do we say you James'd, Cher'd, Don'd, and now Ed'd them? ROFL

Thanks everyone. Blarney, Tin Oxide is the only polish I use now. It works on just about everything. And the red stone you asked about is off the same rock as the the brown/white/red spotted rocks, some type of poppy jasper. Cher, I was trying to be nice to you dial up folks. I have more pics if you'd like! That red/yellow one you speak of is a piece of Morgan Hill poppy jasper.

I'm a fan of the biggs jasper also! Super shine everywhere! Wow! That red and white poppy jasper is wild. Looks like regular poppy jaser in reverse. Great job, and it's nice to see your batches of rocks again. I missed that paper plate. Steve

That's a wonderful liquid shine. You may have convinced a lot of us to try Tin Oxide. I don't know about all those pics, I had to look at ALL of them! Dang.

Thanks all. I took these out of polish at 5 days cuz they looked pretty good then, until I took pics. They just didn't have that nice wet look to them, so I put them back in polish, got busy and forgot them for another 5 days. Glad I did.

Hey Stoner, loved the rocks! Also, loved your photo album at the bucket! Reminds me of my military days overseas in Spain during the change of power! Outstanding polish!! Who are you getting your grit kits from? At least your Tin Oxide! Sweet Sony shot! But, then you knew that didn't you!

Sweet Ed- To all those who are commenting on the Tin Oxide- TRY IT!!!!! I got mine from the Rock Shed- I think it was around $11 a pound- Worth IT!!!!! I have found that the Tin Oxide (as with other polishes as well) needs a bit of breaking in- My first batch with it ran for 7 days- It was ok but not what I was really looking for- I reuse my polish so it was put into a second batch- also run for 7 days- INCREDABLE SHINE!!!!- If your running fresh polish- I suggest leaving it go for 10 days to 14 days- If your re-using it- 7 days works out great! Oh FYI- It was Ed's shine that convinced me to try the Tin Oxide- so blame him as I do!)
