Sands - those pics brought back memories for me when a mate from Aussie came back home to Norfolk and spent all day trawling for Amber on the coast. I stuck it in the barrel within a day at 80 i'd ground the lot to dust and there was nothing left!!!!!!!!!! Keep Amber away from the silicon carbide I say - and leave it to the pros Nice piece. Mark

You didn't waste any time there John. You got them worked up fast. Great lookin' material and you use it so well! I'm interested in your "crazy glue"treatment. I tried it twice with poor results. If you could take a few pics when you do it I'd appreciate it. Thanx,

Thanks John. At what stage do you decide it's time to glue? When I glued I ground it all off because I went back to a low grit. Do you work it at 600g first and then glue it and go back to 600g? Thanks for the details!

that triangle stone above i went to 3000 i seen the prob it kept chippin out as i went so i fig id just doit for me cause i liked the pattern but when i start again ill go back to 600 and work it back up---- if you see something you dont like keep goin finish the cab then glue and take it back you dont wanna go back any further then you have too it messes with the glue that why i finish the cab this way its dont i can just work on the prob with not alot of extra grinding---- ill look at it when i go back out and maybe only go back to like 1200 depends on the prob and how thick the glue is on the face if it thined out you dont need much to get the extra off

Thanks John, that makes sense. I never would have thought of it. I'll try it.
