i had sent a box of savannah river agate to daniel...and he sent us back some stuff that was so much better than we sent him. not exactly sure what we received...just know its nicer than what he got...please keep in mind that we have seen mostly finished peices here on the board...we surely know some...such as the turitella..and obsidian...but we want to make sure what we are looking at. if all could help I.D. it will be of much help...then i can ask about ..what can...and cannot go together. there will be quite a few more pics to come...i managed only a few today. daniel thank you so much...for so many different peices..we will enjoy screwing it up...hahahahaha ;D ;D ;D oh ya..most peices are fist sized...some are half a fist...mostly really large stuff. ![](http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c386/fittycents/th_debsrock.jpg) ![](http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c386/fittycents/th_dedsrock1.jpg) ![](http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c386/fittycents/th_debsrock2.jpg) ![](http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c386/fittycents/th_debsrock3.jpg) slabs...last 2 pics ![](http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c386/fittycents/th_debsrock4.jpg) ![](http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c386/fittycents/th_debsrock5.jpg)

He always does that, I've received two packages from him so far and they're always the best!! I'm not sure about your stuff (color blind) lol, but I can tell you that the fourth one down is toritella agate (fossilized sea shells) and it takes a very high gloss shine!!!

Hmmm. Pic#1 green quartz and some kind of banded travertine. Pic#2+3 Looks like Rocky Butte Picture Jasper with the green quartz. Pic #4 is Turritella from Wamsutter, Wyoming. Pics #5+6 the orangish one look like some kind of wonderstone (rhyolite). The black one I can't tell for sure but maybe Picasso marble from Utah?..mel

The black one is nice and pink inside. Rodenite. The orange slab is some Hidden Valley picture jasper - but without so much white sky. In the 3rd picture it is more Rocky Butte - but with cream sky instead of blue, and some lilypad jasper.
I don't think I sent wonderstone slab, maybe a small piece. I forget, but I think Wildhorse without much blue sky.
The green quartz came from a couple sources. I know some of it came in a box from RedwoodRocks.
I've never worked with quartz, but I think everything should cut and tumble - or cut, shape, and tumble bretty well.
That travertine onyx is softer. It will shape pretty quick, and I think will only take a satin shine in a tumbler. I have never worked rodenite either, so ask others how to handle that one.

Well turnedstone is up next, and I may have gone a little overboard on his box. I didn't take pictures, but he might need some ID help, so we may see those stones too.

Very nice stuff- The travintine onyx is softer- so that may want to run alone- but all the rest should be ok together-
