I'm finally making progress with this batch. It's a mix of stuff, been in course FOREVER - months! Highlights: The Mix ![](http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/NMrocks/Tumbled%20Rock/Fresh.jpg) NMwood - this is my favorite stuff in the entire world for tumbling! It beats anything I've purchased! ![](http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/NMrocks/Tumbled%20Rock/FaveWood.jpg) Carnelian ![](http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/NMrocks/Tumbled%20Rock/Carnelian.jpg) Round Mountain Agate (some with fire!) ![](http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/NMrocks/Tumbled%20Rock/RoundMtn.jpg) SW agate ![](http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/NMrocks/Tumbled%20Rock/SWagate.jpg) Stragglers ![](http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/NMrocks/Tumbled%20Rock/Stragglers.jpg) Now, off to medium they go... ;D S

As Frank would say..."HOLY CRAP!" Those look good enough to eat! Nice job! ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) I have some agate/jasper/something else that been tumbling in course for over 2 months now and it isn't even close yet. I think I've used 2 lbs of grit on them already and I'm about to give up. Too expensive! ;D

Those are coming along very nicely...well rounded! Your patience will be well rewarded. I'd have already had them into the 2nd coarse...haven't successfully completed the patience lesson...but it's coming. Love the wood and I really like the gray/red banded agate in the last pic. Is it a Laker or ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) Steve

Beautiful stones! I can't wait till mine get done in the tumblers. I have river rock in right now so they won't be as pretty as any of those. Debbie

Those look great. Keep that wet shine through polish and you will have a magnificent batch!
The stone that really steals the show for me is that lone orbicular jasper in the first and last photos -- that's a really fantastic stone.
I'm curious about the rocks in the last photo that look like dalmation stone. Are they dalmation or something you found locally? They are more yellowish than dalmation I've seen, or is that from the lighting?

Don - GOOD EYE! That pink/red stone is a pretty nice piece of Imperial Jasper. Cool stuff. I'm gonna have to get some more of that...and there's also a nice little Laker and some green Zebra jasper that Dan sent me in the "Straggler" photo. The mustardy dendritic stuff is found locallly (rarely...) and I believe it to be some kind of dendritic opalite. It's on the soft side and will "disappear" if one is not careful.
John and Joe- You guys have exquisite taste. That gold, black and white NMwood is my favorite stuff in the entire world to tumble. I'm gonna send some to John and I'm hoping to see some cabbed soon. Of all the rocks I've collected in the last 10 years, I get the most excited when I discover nice pieces of that stuff. I think it's some kind of Palm Wood.
The SW agates were collected in Duncan, Az, in the Rio Puerco gravel beds here in NM, and at Pedernal Peak.
Those of you who purchased my $35 flat rate boxes last Spring should have some of everything.
;D S
