Hey Ed, not meaning to dis those small pics in the other thread -- they looked okay, seemed like some reasonably nice material. But these big ones look like they aren't even the same stuff! Talk about WOW factor, these absolutely blow me away. You didn't just get some nice materials, you absolutely hit the jackpot with all of these! Great score, I love the petwoods and carnelian at least as much as the poppies.... actually, that is some of the nicest petwood I've ever laid eyes on. Especially those first two. -Don

Wow! fantastic stuff. That poppy jasper looks real good and the opalized wood is incredible. That brecciated stuff sure does look like Stone Canyon but kinda like Big Sandy or Creston material too. Looks nice anyway. Can't wait to see it cut....mel

Taking another look here -- that carnelian looks like it will work up very nicely. I bought two ebay lots (different sellers) of Oregon carnelian, and it has to be the most gnarled and surface-pitted stuff you could possibly imagine. I'm tumbling it with that limb cast you sent me (and warned me it would take until Christmas to shape up and polish), and let's just say that the limb cast is looking like a tumbler's dream compared to the carnelian. So your pics look to me like you've got some real nice carnelian. -Don

Wow, that opalized wood looks so colorful. I like that carnelean too. Thats some really nice color. It should make some really neat cabs for sure. I can't get enough of that big hunk o poppy jasper too. Those patterns are something new, and it looks really solid too, a huge plus. That's a real drool fest there. THanks for the photos Steve

WOW! I just love pet wood and that's the prettiest I've ever seen!! Love the colors and grains. You hit the jack pot Stoner! Good for you! Now, where's your 10 cabs a day? You've taken enough time off to play with your new friends!! LOL Thanks for the pics, they're great! Tonja
