Steve Holmes sent me some of his fire agates to see if I could bring out the fire from within the stone. In the bag were 2 single nodules shaped like a lightbulb. Holding this piece while grinding and polishing it proved to be a real challenge, but with a little less fingernails and skin, I got the fire to show up and got a decent shape to it. It was just as difficult to get a good pic of it without holding it, so you'll have to excuse the crude grommet I used as a stand for it. Here's the shape it ended up as. And a couple of shots of the top view. Thanks for looking.

That's pretty cool Ed. Looks like a light is in the middle of the stone. Tonja

It looks like a molten cupcake. I'm calling it "Vesuvius Cupcake"! Do I win it now?

That is interesting and unique. Kind of looks like a little bubble of glowing hot magma trying to rise up through the centre of the stone.
