i originally got this material from BanjoCreek and it's been tumbling since about May....it's hard stuff, but it's also a bit "chippy", is prone to flake instead of break cleanly and also has a lot of internal fractures, but it's pretty stuff. i wish i could have slabbed this as it would make some nice cabs, but it was a couple of big hunks....anyway: i used CPP polish for about 21 days, they also stayed in the prepolish for an extended period. thanks for looking! Great lookin' batch, KD. I've seen a lot of this on eBay lately and it looked like it was worth getting. You just confirmed that.

Nice shine KD! I was looking for some fishies in there too...along with a piece or two of Crazy Lace. You nailed the shine on those. Steve

Very pretty stone, and you got a killer shine on it too! But I know this wasn't really posted by KD because I don't see any crazy lace. IMPOSTER! ;D -Don

Excellent job KD, or whoever you are! That is a nice looking stone. I had a chance to get some of that but I wasn't sure what it was, so I passed on it. Now I wish I had gotten some of it, looks like nice cabbing material. Great shine.

That's really pretty stuff, I didn't know what hickoryite looked like. Where is it found and what distinguishes it from other types? I've got a lot of rocks that look very similar collected in a variety of places, mostly western.

KD - the shine on that turned out great!
Am I correct in thinking hickoryite is just more highly silicified (or whatever it is that makes something harder) wonderstone?
