i came across this rock as i was working on my winter's tumble from a bunch of mexican lace i'd got from llanago a long while back. it didn't look like the rest of the lace, so instead of whacking it, i sliced it open and wow! so i'd figure i'd share the progression, from rock to slab to cab, this shot was taken outdoors in natural (gloomy) light: here are a few of just the cab taken indoors: and backlit: so...is it just another vareity of Mex Lace or is it something different? does anyone see the lady with the red flower in her hair? thanks for looking, KD

That is so cool! What a beauty of a cab that is. I love seeing the rough rock that it came from. Well, I see the red flower but... I'll just have to keep looking for that lady!

I see it! In my mind, she's either an older lady or really, really blonde.

What always gets me is how thin the patterns are, like one more pass on the grinder (Dremel) and the piece is either made or ruined. You all are masters! Oh btw I remembered the Mae West ref. from "My little Chickadee" where she played a saloon girl with big hair. Those of you under 40 will have to google it.
