this batch has been rolling in polish since 10/24...i had nothing to move up, so it just kept going, ditto the stuff in 600 grit...finally (!) i had enough to move a load up to 600 grit, so here is my latest batch: this piece of rhodocrosite wasn't in the polish barrel all that time, i checked it in after grinding on it for a while and still wasn't happy with it, looks better now: a few pieces of jelly bean jasper, undercut a bit, but sure is pretty: a weird shape: some thin bits: thanks for looking! Awesome shine you've achieved with those. The rhodocrosite looks fantastic considering it's kind of a booger to tumble....mel

The first thing I saw was a duck too. Nice job KD. Did you tumble the dendritic opal(last pic) through all the cycles?

dendritic opal? is that what that is? i got that from Bearcreek, and those are saw scraps, yeh, i guess they went the full time. haven't cabbed it yet, either... (me bad).
mel, that Rhodochrosite was only in the polish for about 5 days, as i said, i'd started it on the grinder and got frustrated, so before i ground it down to nothing, i tossed it in.
LadyT, that long, rootbeer one i think is more saw scraps from a piece of pet wood that Stoner sent me...the cab is almost finished, will be posting soon.
LOL, Spike!!! i didn't see the duck until you posted......maybe i should sell it on eBay! (aflac).
thanks for all the comments,
KD

Great shine on those KD! (Jamesed 'em!) Love the little jelly bean jaspers (must be the green) and the little slivers would make a nice little charm bracelet or somthing like that...
