Thought that might get your attention I just spent a weekend down on the pacific ocean and got to see the worlds biggest tumbler in action.......what an awsome way to see what is going on inside your tumbler.....what struck me as odd was the gravel beaches were covered with 1-11/2 inch rocks as i gathered them and started to dig around the smaller rocks were below and continued to get smaller in layers as i went deeper... .... as the waves hit the beach it forced the smaller stones under the large and caused the large to roll on top with the water down the beach ........ then it hit me I don't use enough small stones in my charge to get a good tumling action......so i guess thats my piont here ....make sure you have enough small rocks in your charge to get the good tumbling action........ PS all my friends think ive become depressed cuz I walk around with my head down looking at the ground LOL happy tumbling............ oh ya beware of petrified wood ... gas preasure can build up and blow your lids off....messy.... so relieve the preasure from time to time if your tumbling it........Cheers HURK

Hurk I've heard you can put a Tum or a spoon of Bicarbonate of Soda(ARM AND HAMMER) in with your tumble to eliminate gas build up.

Well, I thought I'd chuck this one in for good measure - the worlds biggest rock tumbler is one thing - but the world is a rock itself!!! The entire universe is a rock tumbler!! Hence life is all about rock tumbling - not 42. Just a bit of fun. Andrew
