I do like the back, KD. Like a lightning storm on the mesa. Nice setting for keeping the whole stone visible.

Wow KD~ That's really something! That cab is fantastic! Had to look at the necklace again because the cab is so stunning I over looked it.
I can see the lightning storm too Rich...does anyone else see the volcano as well?

i get the mounts from Rio Grande, but i've seen them for sale at Fire Mountain and also at Kingsley North. i grind the cab to size and you just "pinch" (cinch) the mounting with pliers tight to the stone. it is easy to mess up by not grinding the shape properly or over grinding a bit. you kind of have to grind a little, check, grind a little, check.....it can be nerve wracking!
