Somebody posted a link to an ebay seller who was selling a very cool sphere about a month ago and naturally I just had to see what else they were selling. So I wound up winning 2 auctions for some pietersite, one 16+lbs and the other 9+lbs. If you've never seen this stuff before, you're in for a treat. Here's a cab I cut from the smaller chunk. The pics don't do it justice because it is chatoyant(sp?) like tiger eye, so to really appreciate it you have to hold it and move it around in the light. Here's how it looks after moving the light to the other side. I'll be cutting a lot of cabs from this stuff, so be fore warned.

Looks Aweome! I guess you'll have to order a sphere from Kim's new machine out of that material. It would make a Killer Sphere. Steve

Damn Joe, good thing I wasn't drinking anything when I read that. Good one! Kev, it's about the same hardness as tigereye and takes an excellent shine.

25 pounds of Pietersite is like sittin' on Fort Knox, Ed. I've got a small slab I'm savin' for a rainy day.
There was a dealer at the East Coast show last year with trays of Pietersite cabs that were spectacular. Gotta be one of the top five materials out there.
Great cab, by the way.

That has got to be the most beautiful cab I have ever seen. I have seen a lot of pietersite but nothing that even compares to that.

Yowza!! Double Yowza!!
My first glance I saw a wizard riding out of a stormy sky on a dragon's back over a lake of fire!
Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue! LOL
(Cheesy Airplane quote) haha
That stuff is just incredible!!
