I always thought it might have something to do with mirrors! I keep hearing people saying that their agates have a "mirror polish."

Strike a nerve Sheri? Hope you put that agave to good use. A little tequila in salsa is great and the alc cooks out. Seriously now, The stuff you guys found just amazes me. keep the pictures coming. Thanks.

Hi Sheri, Yep I cut up the flower agate, I cut everything I could hold on to. My sassy crumpled up, used up, rock grabbing saw blade really needs to be replaced before I do much more cutting. I will take a few pictures of the piece of flower garden I have left. (I cut it and sent half to Dale Rhode), it really looked interesting in the middle of the rock.......Less red and more chalcedony, the colors started to take on shapes and it was easy to see why it was named flower garden agate.

I didn't want to post a bunch of pics of what everyone else had posted so here are mine and yea some of these have been posted before by others but they look soo cool. these are from two biscuits, the yellow/brown was big. The red was a single cut. This one is the coolest one I've cut so far. Lots of little black and red plumes. This one reminded me of a Kentucky agate. The one on the right is a red moss, plume thingie This is kinda neat - clear to white agate with green, yellow and red strands. yellow & red moss A two cut biscuit and something kinda different. cool colors 3 slab biscuit with a pattern I haven't seen nice red plume with brown plume around it one hit wonder This one I picked up at the ranch but it wasn't born there, Ronda gave it to me. It looks really cool but it breaks a lot when cutting. Thanks all for looking and next time I go I will try and pick up more biscuits. Some are duds but the ones that aren't have really neat surprises in them. This is a bad pic of a cool green plume cab that came from a one slice biscuit.

Okay, I really like that red and black plume set. How solid is that druzy center on those?
And thanks for posting pics of that chunk. I knew it had an interesting pattern under the skin!

Well, after 22 pages I must say. I REALLY miss home. I cannot wait to get back to Texas.
Also, very nice finds by everyone. Looks like you all had a great time. Maybe by this time next we'll be living in that area so I can show up. Good job all.
