pretty but useless....i guess you could call it an ornament? closer close up of the good bit, you may remember the cab: the top bit is a loop of leather to hang it by....like from your rear view mirror or something. kinda looks like a half hearted dream catcher? thanks for looking!! KD

Or, you could turn it upside down and wear it on a fancy western hat! Pretty cool!....mel

That is very cool. I love the way the beads are like a continuation of the crazy lace. Did you make it?

It's nice, it has an indian (native american) look. The bead disc seems to be also lace. Did you bead it on thread or on wire? Looks pretty hard, I think it's wire.

Very cool KD. It looks like a monkey was running full speed and ran smack into a lace agate cab! ;D

Looks great KD!! The pattens look very cool. It also looks a bit like an owl, does anyone else see it? Or is it just me? My day was boring and I’m extremely tired. I think I am just hallucinating.

i'm not sure what kind of feather they are, Cher....i found them in a fabric/upholstery shop for sale by the yard. they are all glued and mounted on some kind of basting ribbon. when i bought them, i didn't know what i was going to do with them...but i HAD to HAVE some!
Adrian, the beads are strung with very fine silk thread onto a backing material. once finished, i glue a soft leather backing to hide all the stichmarks.
i see the owl and the monkey now that you guys mention it....hahaha.

kd that would be in grave danger at my house! my 3 cats would unfeather it as fast as they could. they would only be happy when there wasn't a single feather left. it's a fine ornament though!

hey, Kim...i'd never thought of it as a high class one of a kind cat toy! but you are right, hours of entertainment there, especially if you put it on a string or a spring!

kd......not useless I don't think. It's awesome! I made dreamcatchers for a long time, was just asked to do a powwow, but I think I have.......4 of them left. To me, that would work great for......hanging from a mirror, extra for a dream catcher, maybe key chain, put on a hat. It's awesome and you did great work on it! You did match the pattern perfect! WOW that is beautiful, I love how you mirrored the cab in the beads. That is something I would hang on my wall. If you are wondering how to display it I would suggest something like a shadow box to protect the feathers.
