So you're finally going to retire Tom? Good for you. Now you can use the phrase my father-in-law uses all the time. "Every day is a Saturday". Nice gift too. I thought when I read the title maybe you picked up a small CNC machine to use at home.

And I thought you had your heart set on a gold plated monkey wrench, Tom. ;D ;D
Great lookin' specimen. Looked it up in three different mineral books (cause I never heard of it) and you got 'em all beat . . . much nicer!

I have a smaller rock very similar to this one and I do not know what the green stuff is on the outside of the rock?
Does anyone know?

Hi Gang, Well yes I'm trying to be good to myself for only a VERY short time till my tin can is empty!! LOL I've wanted to try and do so many things for many, many years and one was buying this fantastic specimen. So far the only thing I REALLY miss is being able to use the machines in work to do little jobs for myself and to try to help others who need ,,,,,sort of custom pieces made.
Ed(stoner) mentioned me buying myself a CNC machine,,,,,Only in my dreams Ed!!
Rich mentioned a gold plated monkey wrench,,,,,Well I gave all my tool boxes to my son and 99% of my tools to the guys I worked with!It was like sale day at a flea market ,,,,first come first serve and boy did those tools go FAST!!!
I have enough tools here at home for probably a crew of 10 men and then some so that's why I gave the others away!
I think it was gaetz who said my specimen can't catch fish! Well that's another area where I can equip another 10 fishin pardners,,,,and then some!!!As a matter of fact I just gave 2 complete fishing outfits away to my sister and BIL who have been wanting to go fishing but couldn't afford the equipment as they are living on a VERY,VERY small pension! They went bonzo over it and my sister even cried!!! It was a good cry though!!
Was it Mark who said FREE TIME?? Ha HA Ha,,,,My FREE time is costing me a small fortune!!I have to slap myself every time I even think Ebay!!!
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,"may all the days that come be full of rocks, Family, and friends,,,,,,,,,,and maybe more then a few fish"
Well cina if things go right for me that's what my days will be FULL of!!
I did buy myself one other retirement gift and it's even better then my specimen. It's called a Retirement Hummer.
Ya know how when someone is saying something you don't want to hear and you put your fingers in your ears and hum as loud as you can?
Well this little baby does it for ya!!It comes in REAL handy when the ole Honey-Do list comes out!!! ;D ;D ;D
Thanks ALL for you kind words and well wishes!!!!
connrock Tom
