Horsinaround sent me some of this beautiful rough glass: ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v292/krazyD/rough01.jpg) ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v292/krazyD/rough04.jpg) ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v292/krazyD/rough05.jpg) and although i've tumbled obsidian before, i guess i never got around to colored glass. i would highly recommend this material for younger/first time tumblers or teachers that want results in less than a few monthes. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) having said that, i did have a blowout in the rough grind stage because i didn't check it often enough and i failed to put borax in to keep the foaming down....what a mess that was! ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) but the tumbler survived, although it did need a lot of clean up, didn't take a photo, should have, but here are the finished results: ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v292/krazyD/tumbledglass02.jpg) ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v292/krazyD/tumbledglass03.jpg) ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v292/krazyD/tumbledglass01.jpg) and yes, there were some losses to attrition, i think i may have "over tumbled" this batch as some of the smaller pieces disappeared altogether....live and learn. thanks Horsinaround for the opportunity to try something new and fun! thanks for looking! KD

Neat ! Those turned out great - I've tumbled colored glass to get that "beach glass" look, but never all the way to clear and shiny. Very pretty indeed ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Perfect shine! The colors are so pretty, but knowing that are man made, the charm diminishes.
