I spent Saturday unloading the truck and sorting through some of the rocks I picked up the day prior. The grinder had to wait one more day, but today's the day for that for sure I'm about 1/3rd of the way through everything and snapped a few pics off to post. A couple unsorted boxes Some slabs The fossil agate boulders (I should have put something down for size reference), some dendritic stuff, mossy stuff and other 'stuff' Close up of one of the malachite chunks My 'sorting station'. This area was pretty clean before I began. Christa's not too amused A couple pets I believe this is red corral and other fossils in a matrix Some gem silica! I hope to get the grinder set up and have a cab or two to show tonight. Still sippin' my coffee.. and trying to ignore the unsearched boxes calling my name out there. I guess we'll see what happens. Thanks for lookin'!

Wow! for the second time. In your first post I was blown away by the quantity of rock you got. Now I'm blown away by the quality. That malachite alone is worth what you paid for the entire lot. You are a blessed man, at least until your wife sees the mess.

Dang Brian, that haul just keeps looking better and better! Fantastic looking box of slabs, the turritella looks primo , very black stuff, and that coral in matrix is astounding. First time I've seen it in matrix. Like going through the hold of a treasure ship. Keep those pics coming! Oh, and tell Crista be thankful you aren't like a buddy of mine. He sorts his rough in the living room, on the carpeted floor while sitting in his Barker Lounger *L*....Mel

Unbelievable Brian!!! All for 80 bucks to boot. I'm sure your heart was beating so rapidly going through those boxes. Some of that older material is superb, and the fun part has to be not knowing exactly what's going to be in those older boxes. Keep showing us your fortune. Steve

I see some old east TX palm wood in the batch too. The last I heard, slabs were going $3 a square inch, and that was a while ago. Those red Utah corals should cab beautifully, they are agate replaced. I need to go hunt some of those....

I like mostly the "butterfly" and the "mother and child" thunder eggs in the first pics.

Wow! And Wow again! What fabulous treasures.
I dont know how you can resist their little voices calling out for you "come look at me, no no look at me", "no I'm the prettiest you have to look at me next" I dont think I could resist.
Enjoy your booty. And let us see the results. Thanks for sharing.

What a haul, Beef! You better set up a slush fund for new saw blades and grinder wheels.
