I wish I knew Randy. I imagine it's either from Mexico or Missouri. Or both.

Both are beautiful, but the pattern of the small one is incredible!

Have to agree, they are beauties. Say, Brian, since no one seems to know what they are, why don't you send them on to me. I'm really into doing research. I'll be happy to work on accurately identifying them for you. Just think of the peace of mind everyone will have knowing these rocks have finally been identified. Lady B

Thanks everyone! I haven't fired up the saw for a few weeks, but maybe.. just maybe.. this evening after the oppressive fire ball in the sky settles down, maybe I'll slice off a slab or two and getcha all a better close up view.

Ooh very nice. I may be mistaken but I have seen similar material that was sold years ago called "Little Snake Lace" number1588 in the Agate page Lexicon. It came from the Crazy lace area in Mexico but the pattern was more compact and low contrast with more areas of solid color. I've got a little around somewhere. I actually think it was just a different part of the vein system the miners had tapped into because Brad Cross doesn't even mention it as a separate variety in his book and he really gets into Crazy Lace Agate.
