When I first started here on the forum, I made a trade with Toad for some of his cool thundereggs. They are way too big for me to slice with the workforce, but last week, a friend of mine from work(who I am trying to recruit to this place) offered to slice a few open for me on his 14" homemade saw. He was as eager as me to see what was inside, and we were totally amazed at what we found. I let him keep the ones he wanted for the use of his saw, and below are the ones that I took. Hope you like them! All together.... A cool "rainstorm".... Almost a good double.... A few odd halves... Thanks for looking! Dave

Always fun to cut something open. Nice rainstorm, I have a slab like that that I bought years ago. I like the one in the 5th pic the best, looks kinda crazed.

COOL, some of 'em look like turtles. I miss that old cantankerous TOAD and his sexy legs. Hope he's not DEAD. Where are ya, TOAD? Git your ass back to RTH.

Thanks all! Mel - I was suprised to see the moss myself. Most of the smaller ones I had done before only had the bands of white and grey. I am going to try and cut a few of them out to see how they look when backlit. There is definitely something cool going on inside there. NMrocks - I saw turtles in them too. Most of the ones I have cut before are like that also. It think it helps add to the charactor of them. And yes, I have noticed that Toad hasn't been around for a while also??!??

you got some real nice ones there... everytime Jeremy and I think about giving out some of our thunder eggs, we hesitate because they are all so beautiful inside.
