I keep seeing all these threads about buying stuff from Snowdog. There have been warnings and everything. Well I for one feel very bad for Snowdog. I mean, here's someone who is just trying to share some really neat stuff with fellow rock hounds...I think we need to give the fellow a break! Especially since his scale is broken!
See I didn't read all the warnings beforehand so I didn't know there might be a problem with buying something from Snowdog.
He was selling some beautiful Crazy Lace and Bob just LOVES Crazy Lace and this past Monday was Bob's 60th Birthday and I just couldn't help it. I had to buy some of Snowdog's Crazy Lace for my Honey. The only problem was that I couldn't quite afford as much as Snowdog was prepared to pack in a box. But Snowdog agreed to sell me a smaller amount and just pack the box with lots of paper.
And this is what I got from Snowdog for Bob's Birthday present!
But that's where the problem comes in that makes me feel bad for Snowdog, 'cause you see, he did use paper to pack around those rocks, but he also used these...
which all together means the box had this inside...
So either Snowdog's scale is off or that was the heaviest darn paper I've ever seen!! That FRB weighed twice as much as it was supposed to weigh! Poor Snowdog. When I contacted him he explained that the extra weight must be from the matrix around the lace. I don't know what else to do except to let all of you know that Snowdog not only has some awesome rocks he's willing to sell to us here at RTH, but he also has a broken scale that weighs, I mean REALLY weighs, in our favor.
Bob LOVES his birthday present!!! He thought you might like to drool over some of his favorite pieces since you all didn't make it over for cake and ice cream with us.
So there you have it! Proof once again of the generosity (and faulty weighing abilities) of RTH members.
Thank You, Snowdog!!! Bob LOVES his Crazy Lace and we both LOVE you for making an olderish guy and his almost olderish wife VERY, VERY happy!!! ;D ;D
