It's official, I am actually tumbling rocks! It's actually been three years since I had them going. Yes, these poor guys were sitting collecting dust for three years! I finally got the garage cleaned out enough and oiled them up. Now they are happily tumbling. The sound of seven tumblers going at once is something else. It feels great to actually be reporting to the rock TUMBLING board that I am tumbling. There's a mix of a lot of things. The biggie has mostly agates along with the green one. The Lortones have 1 batch of Morgan Hill jasper and the other is jaspers I collected from around here. All those are at just about done with 600 grit. The other two blue ones have agates and some quartz at 80 grit. The red guy has Jamie's chrysocolla at 220 grit. I am sure I will be full of questions pretty soon because my tumbling skills are rusty. BTW, WHen I poke my head in to check on them, I tell my wife I'm checking on the kids ;D Steve

Welcome back to tumbling Steve, nice set-up ya got there. Now I see where the thinking, "Hmm, I only have 2 3 4 5 6 tumblers running, better get one more just to make sure..." eventually leads to. ;D

Good for you Steve! It's almost a sin to let those tumblers sit for so long though.. you must make make atonement by posting lots more pics soon! I wonder how much your electric bill will increase.. Dan

I pity the rock that thinks it can get past that gauntlet unpolished! Too cool Steve!

If you look carefully, you can see that bright blue tumbler in my avitar is in there too! (Belongs to our cat, he get's the rocks I guess). It took some modification to put on a Lortone barrel but runs great. Great to hear you are tumbling again Jack!
I'm exited because I get to change them tonight! Woo Hoo! Tumblers are fun! Steve

Way to go Steve! Looks like you have everything in order. Thanks to the parts you supplied me with in my 'beginning' a couple years ago, I know how it is. I still get excited about checking and changing the barrels - Yes, the CE's are still running well and carefree!! ;D
