I was able to get my trim saw out today and slice up a few rocks. Some Utah stuff, stuff from Snowdog, and stuff I bought through Mark at SuperAgates. First...some Utah self-collected material. Unknown Nodule. (maybe Barite) collected near Moab more unknown nodules. collected near Moab. I've never seen anything like this, and looks like wood perhaps, but I don't think it is. Mel....any ideas??? a really nice Dugway Geode with snow white innards my first Laker ever. Thanks Snowdog Dave. Love the banding! A nice Condor Agate that Mark (superagates) sent me as a freebie BOTSWANAS from MARK!!! These are fabulous, some of the best Bots I've ever sliced into. Very nice deep Purple with a nice White center Craziest Patterns ever! LOVE IT! An Amazing Bot. I've never seen anything like this...NEVER! I don't know what these needle-like stringers are, but they shoot up through the whole piece. This is really a special piece to me. I had a fun day, but it got dark too fast, and it was a little cool cutting in the shade. After my hands turned numb, it didn't matter anymore. I cut a bunch more, but these were the highlights. Steve - Those needle-like stringers are just called tubes. They can show up in a lot of different agate types. The unknown nodule looks wild, but that 'crazy' Bot you sliced up is really sweet.

I like those "eyes" in the third pic, and, of course, the last rock. It's amazing!

Those are fantastic, Steve. Those bots are especially cool. Can't wait to see what you do with them. Man, I need some cooler weather to get the saw out. Your pix are making me itchy.
