Recently there was a lot of kidding here at RTH about Snowdog and his unusual FRB packing skills. He either used unusual styrofoam (read ' stones') or he used a scale that was definitely tipped in favor of the buyers. I bought some of his "light-weight" Crazy Lace for Bob's 60th Birthday and Bob LOVED his Lace! Then I saw that Snowdog was offering some FRBs of "Ugly Rocks". I figured "What the Heck! I think I'll try some! After all, how ugly can rocks be?" You guessed it folks...Snowdog isn't any better at describing rocks than he is at packing them or at weighing them. Here are some pictures of my "Ugly Rocks" (quite a few of which seem to have mysteriously disappeared into the 15# Thumler's Tumbler I also gave Bob for his 60th!) Thank you, Dave! Your generosity in sharing your "Ugly Rocks" is sincerely appreciated! Lady B (P.S. We'll be sure to post pix of the mysteriously " missing" rocks when they reappear from Bob's Thumler! ;D )

You know what LadyB? I'm just going to accept it. I don't know why I keep fighting it - people are who they are - we just have to accept them for who they are. Snowdog is just an incredibly generous rockhound and there's no changing (or disputing!) that fact. There may never be a "Snow-Mart" and there may be no books written about his "business sense" but the number of people he's touched will never forget his generosity. (Possibly because of the nagging back pain from carrying those insanely packed flat rate boxes ;D ) Snowdog - Mailmen hate him, Rockhounds love him.

;D ;D I may have to go back to school and "really" learn that stuff that they tried to teach me the first time around ! ---------- at first I thought if I put more rock in I could sell more so I'd make more money but I needed more rock to fill the boxes so didn't have as many to sell --- ? ---- then I thought if I lower the price maybe they would buy more ----- and once again I'm still not making any $$ --but the post office knows me by my "first and last" name now !! ;D-------- oh no !, here's " rock man ! " again ! ;D ;D-------- maybe I could use a bigger rock on the other side of my balance scale -- you know -- the one where you have a stick and you put a weight on one side then keep adding until it hangs level --- maybe if I used smaller pieces it wouldn't be so heavy ------- little rocks === light weight ,, big rocks === heavy weight ?? -------- I'll figure it out one of these days !! ;D ;D
