ralph and i went to burro creek to meet everyone sat. and sun. what a great group of people. we had lots of fun heres just a few pics of i took, trust me.........there is lots more coming. beefjello handed out brag bags with great stuff in them. there was also candy, but as you can see thats alllllllll gone lol Ralph's this one was mine, (maryann) As for rock hounding we couldn't do much, i have 2 bad knees and of course Ralph is still recovering but as we all know how generous the members are, we didn't go home empty handed. Heres a few that they gave us and we cut as soon as we got home A lavender some other pretty stuff 2 more that have beautiful reds and blues then snowdog had a table of slabs for us to pick from. I chose these. Not sure what they are, but loved the green. Heres one that Daniel drew the shapes on for use to cut out. Can wait to see it done, The colors are so pretty. There's even the look of a rattlesnake. Squint, and look real close, you might see it. hehehehe Then the amazing stoner.......... let us pick one of his cabs. They were all so beautiful it was a tough decision. Now Ralph and I don't camp, soooooooooooo we got a room in wikieup. i couldn't stop laughing, these rooms were right out of the 60's. Check these out. No ac and a space heater. don't you just love this table and chairs? ? the table this tv was on was very shakey. of course no remoter control, so when you changed the channel the whole table almost fell down. hehehe Daniel also had the pleasure of staying here. Jamie put on a great trip and is the best cook. she's is just in creditable, i wish i had half her energy. ty for looking and i know everyone has a lot more pics for you to see.

Very cool trip pics and some rock pics too. Goodie! Sounds like you all had a lot of fun and that motel looks like a hoot! *L* P.S. That bottom green and white slab looks like Mariposite from just over the hill from our ranch. It's basically blue-green fuchsite mica in quartz and dolomite. Mixed hardness material so kinda hard to work but really pretty stuff....Mel

great pics...love your goodies recieved; slabs, cabs, and lots of cool rocks. Sounds like everyone had tons of fun, and I can't wait to see everyone elses pictures. Your room is so "homie" to. Can't make out what your watching but it looks almost like Mike Brady...LOL! Steve

Maryann and Ralph are a great couple, and we are very fortunate to have them in the RTH family. I had to laugh when I saw the pics of the motel room because it's pretty much the way they described it to us. But she forgot to mention that the magazines on the table were dated somewhere around 1996-97. Glad you guys made it home safely.

Nothing like staying in "luxury" accommodation. You guys really got a taste of 5 star living.
The room may have been a bit below average but what you took home sure looks 5 star.

Beef What do ya mean, your Grandparents had those tables. My wife and I had those when we married in '59.
I knew Jamie would put on a great adventure. Congrads to all. And yes, Ed never made anything less than beautiful in a cab.
Ya'll have the memories, the rest of us will have the pics. Thanks

Oh Boy...did that hotel bring back memories of our daughters softball! We stayed in a Motel 8 in a horrible neighborhood. Saw people coming through loose boards in fence to break into vehicles...(husband sat up on balcony with his Glock all nite protecting rigs & equipment & scaring off creeps) Bandaids covered holes in walls.(found spiders in many) and the soap was sooooo small in the shower, it got lost in Bobs armpit hair! LOL
What a memory!
