Ralph and i did the havasu gem and mineral show this past weekend. after we got all unpacked, I realize that out nieghbors at the show was john and his wife from JS Gems. it was fun talking to them at the show. Heres a couple pics of his tables, maybe i should have asked if he wasn't wanted before i put pics up lol But first heres some scenery on the way up. Really i could use all the same pics over and over and you all would never know the difference, except when I get to northern az you can see pine trees. First one, on the way to Lake Havasu City. Some cool looking mountains i thought this was neat. almost there, one more right turn. Then, like a tourist I had to get pictures of the London Bridge. It was very cool. Crossing over it. The show banner Heres our set up. it doesn't change much from show to show. And heresssssssssssssssssssss Johnny ( and his wife, sue) more of his booth last one i57.photobucket.com/albums/g232/goofie1/lake%20havasu%20show/Picture468.jpgty all for looking, we had a blast. Next show is Thanksgiving weekend, in Wickenburg.

Nice pics guys! Hey it almost looks like it was raining driving over the bridge. I lived there from '76 to '80 and back then all that was there was the bridge and a couple of stores. Now when I go back I don't even recognize the place.. it's turned into a full blown year round MTV spring break party town.
Nice that you were set up next to a fellow RTH'r ;D. So yeah, how did ya do over there?

You'll generally do better with slabs and rough at the shows. Most of the folks there prefer to make their own cabs. Don't take it as anything negative about your cabs.

Looks like a good show. Cool pics. I notice though that you were selling Aus. Opal for $1 per gram. What a deal! I went to a local show recently and they had cabbed Aus. Opal they were selling for $80-$90 per "karat".
I thought it was pretty odd to not sell by the gram or by the piece, but what do I know? lol
I'd sure love to get my hands on some Aus. Opal (hint, hint) and I know I wasn't about to pay $90 for just a chip. lol
The cabs at your show look great too.
