Hi everyone, Today I've polished two pieces of wood. This is the first one, from the same piece as the "dome" from my other neighbor thread: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?board=Pictures&action=display&thread=1195672916The second one is a wood picked by me this September from the Danube bank. It's the first wood from there that I polish, and it is pretty good to work with: takes good shine, wooden grain (almost invisible in rough cut) reveals pretty good when polished (but it's very fine, I couldn't catch it even with super-macro mode) Thank you for looking, I hope I don't become boring with all those woods. Adrian, Looking at beautiful wood is never boring. That is some real nice material. Any idea what kind of tree it might be from? Bob

Thank you Bob and in the same time I'm sory, but I have no clue about the species. I'll post the close-up that I managed to do, although it's not a good photo. But maybe you or some others will be able to ID it. Adrian

Great shine Adrian! I hope one of these days I can get some machine that will polish large pieces like that. Until then I'll just have to keep admiring yours. Curt

Very good, Curt, maybe you'll be able to polish that slab I traded with you (after glueing it with epoxy).
