Hi, everyone! Here is a batch of rocks I've finished to tumble today. They are Lesbos beach pebbles. Anyone joining us next summer in Lesbos? No-one? Are you sure? Maybe this will make you have a second thought Some close-ups: Thanks for looking, Adrian PS. Shannon - onewomanarmy, did you finish to tumble any Lesbos pebbles till now?

Oh Adrian those are beautiful! I can't wait for mine to finish! I'm in the middle of my tumble with them - I have some that were ready to move on and yet others that were still being stubborn in the coarse grind. When I split them into the "move on" pile and the "stubborn little things" piles - there wasn't enough for a full load. Since I didn't want to mix them up with others (these are a special batch!) and yet I didn't want to run my tumblers half full given the Christmas crunch I'm feeling (and I had no intentions of giving any of these away yet!!) - they are waiting patiently to be continued. There are some that I am very happy with though so far and seeing yours makes me all the more anxious to get them back rolling! I'm thinking I may need to buy another tumbler... I'll try to get a picture of my current status before I get them back on. I just looked at your pictures again - that last one is stunning! A prize in and of itself!! There were a couple in the batch that you sent that I held out - I thought they looked nice as they were and thought they would be nice to have some unaltered pieces as well as some tumbled - but now I am thinking I may have to put even those in after seeing yours!!

Nice batch, mate. I'll have to chuck in the few pebbles that you sent me and see how they go.
That last one looks like Chinchilla pet wood!

Fine looking batch Adrian. I've read some stuff on Lesbos but never seen much in the way of colored pictures. Surprising variety of quartz gems you've found there! I really like the breccia in the top center of the next to last picture and all those mossy looking pieces....Mel

Mel - I've got Adrian's trip photos on CD if you'd like a copy! Let's just say there are a couple of the Petrified Wood forest on there... No photo evidence of Adrian filling his pockets while he was there - though I did look closely to see if he looked any "heavier" in the last pictures of his visit there.

Shannon, no pockets while rockhounding on the beach, only a plastic bag, a pair of diving glasses and a snorkel : And that's the result of the search, sorted on the bed from our hotel room: Adrian

Wow Adrian that is a real nice batch. Great variety and you nailed the shine. Looks like some real nice wood in there. One question though. If the rocks were on the bed where did you sleep? ;D
