On a recent trip to Decorah to celebrate my neices college graduation I ran across THE PORTER HOUSE MUSEUM There is a rock fence around the property that just blew me away. If you are anytime in the area be sure to stop and see the fence as it is fantastic. rock from all over and a few local geodes one as big as the steering wheel of the car. www.porterhousemuseum.com I snapped a few pictures and will try and post them later |

wow, that looks pretty cool. No sure where decorah is though. What part of iowa is that in? I'm from Illinois.

I have been there a few times living here in Waterloo, Iowa. But, I never heard of this place, cool! Decorah is north east from Waterloo, Iowa, about in the middle there. I will have to check that place out on my next road trip!  Oh, did I mention there are lots, and lots of rocks there! ;D |
