HI Everyone, I am going up to a family reunion just outside Erie, PA. I will be there for a few days visiting and thought I could set some time aside for rock hounding. I was hoping with the great wealth of knowledge of the members of this board, someone might be able to give me some idea's of where to look and what I might be able to find  . Thanks |

If you get a chance to work some of the creeks in that area..be sure to keep you eye open for some gold.

Or you can hit Presque Isle- on the lake- might find something interesting. There are also some nice fossils in the area- not a lot of tumbling stuff but you should be able to pick up something! Have a safe trip- if you swing up by the Buffalo NY area (maybe a trip to the falls??) let me know- I'm pretty close to Buffalo

Thanks for the info. I grew up as a kid playing on the beaches of Presque Isle, but at that time I was not into rocks the way I am now. Thanks again
