Hi y'all, Well it is almost 6:00 am and we are getting ready to get on the road from wetumka, ok heading to davis, ok to the arbuckle mountain's to go rock hunting...hopefully we will find some interesting things to bring back with us...if we find anything we will surely get on here and let everyone know where to go to find the rocks. Oklahoma is not known for much as far as rock collections go. Betty and I have had some really good luck finding all kinds of neat things along the railroad tracks around here. and along the road sides where different types of gravel have been used as fill. some of which we have yet to find out what they are. If anyone has had any luck out here in Oklahoma please let us know where there are neat things to find. We know where to go to get the rose rocks in Norman Oklahoma. Well...we are out of here..to parts unknown....talk to everyone very soon Steve & Betty

Steve: Railroad tracks in the lower half of Georgia, is a great place to find some very nice unakite. It tumbles and cabs beautifully. Good Luck on your rock trip!! Will be off Monday and Tuesday from work and the wife and I are planning to go to North Georgia and see what we can find. Take Care !! GaRock

Steve: I used to visit relative in Yukon, Oklahoma and found lots of small geodes on some of the road fills and some nice jasper and chert along the gravel bars on the south? Canadian River. Think it was the south. Anyway, just outside town and easy to access at the time. Don't know how built up the area is now as it's been years since I hunted the area.....mel
