Sands, I was wondering if you have been to the rock shop in Hillsboro yet. I went there last year and it was pretty cool. The owner was very nice and he carried lot's of Tumbling stuff and Rough rock.

no little by little im finding places around here to go some friends i met here are goin to show me more good spots to hunt we are goin to lunch sunday and there gonna take me around there and see if theres anything i like --- i have never been to a rock shop in my life yet hahaha i was an armchar shopper on ebay for the last id say 4 years haha but im slowly gettin the bug to find my own rock to help pay the bills im ss disabilty and it realy dont cut it --that last flurry of boxs i sold got me out of the hole for a month maybe more --- so i been smillin haha

Well if you ever head to silver city, you will have to go check it out. Smaal shop but very neat. Less than an hour away from you.

if i get over that way ill be sure to stop its only a matter of time i been goin alittle further each time i ran over to winston and cloride last week lookin for the amy vein but didnt find the right road somebodys gonna go with me next time haha

A good book I have bought is Gem Trails Of New Mexico. It has a lot of locations all over the state. Many in your area, like the area west of 1-25 by the large Cell tower on the hill. But I am sure you have found that one. Do you fish in the lake? I landscaped the monticello campground at the Bute a few years ago. We camped and worked. That was no fun, but we did go fish the dam at night..

no fishing yet but i was out on the lake a friend here has a boat went for a nice ride bout two weeks ago but the fish aint bitin yet water needs to warm up --- i grabed that book when i got here has alot of spots in it
