Going to Tennessee this weekend. Any good places to look for rock? (Nashville-Murfreesboro area)

Probably too late to help you but...not sure about the nashville area but the smokies have a little agate - pretty cool stuff but also pretty rare and most is found inside the park (which is a no-no) or on private land. Now the Memphis area has some really cool agates and a type of lace agate.

Thanks for the response.
I ended up finding about 20 pounds of oolitic chert from the ordovician period. Browns, whites, tans, and a few red/oranges. Most of it is nicely laminated… I suppose calcedony sounds better...but I'll call it my poor man's agate.
Nah...It's chert and I'm proud of it !!!
