My family and I are heading on a big trip friday, Going through Montana, Idaho, washington, Oregon, and north californina. I am planning to stop in Glendive and see if I can find any Moss Agates around those parts. Mostly following Highway 2 after that. Any other ideas?

Hey jeremy, look under Life, Universe... and see the RTH map. It will show you members along the way, maybe PM some and see about rocks in those areas. john

You should be able to find Montana moss agate in gravel bars along the Yellowstone River almost anywhere between North Dakota and Forsyth or thereabouts, I don't know about farther upstream, but if you are heading up to 2 (the "highline") I think you're limiting your moss agate collecting opportunities.
The highline approaching Glacier Park is a LONG drive, once you get to the mountains its quite pleasant, but you might also consider the more southerly route towards Yellowstone Park, Beartooth Pass south of Red Lodge is one of, if not THE most spectacular drive in the lower 48- you might consider doing the trip out one way and make the return trip along the other route.
On the Northern route, Bigfork on the NE corner of Flathead lake has a great rock shop, Kehoe's agate shop.
Idaho and Oregon are both full of great collecting sites- and rock shops.
I expect you will have an awesome trip, that's all a really nice part of the country you'll be visiting
