Anyone traveling south of Albuquerque can find Agate, Jasper and great Petrified wood just on the side of I-25. About 10 miles south of Belen up to Bernardo on the west side of the road. We have found some great pieces here and there is a lot left..

Glad you posted this. I will be doing a trip to NM end of September so trying to get as much rockhounding areas as I can. We will mostly be in the southern area of NM but it is a rockhounding trip, so any spots there and along the way I am taking notes on!
