That is one fine lookin' fish! The two smaller ones aren't too shabby either!
This is a great board! It's neat meeting everybody from all over and hearing about their rockhounding and other adventures. To say nothing about the education I am getting on tumbling.

Hi Sands, I do a bit of sea fishing in the Irish sea on a friends boat, its a 1942 classic apparently, so really old but well maintained and excellent to get out on. Normally though I fish locally on rivers and lakes etc. Freshwater fishing during the summer... you cant beat it. Heres a pic of where I go quite often to get away from it all and do a spot. I'm just waiting for the weather to turn warmer and I'll get down there again. Soon Andy.

Andy that is a beautiful spot. I could do some serious communing with nature whether I caught any fish or not. Just gorgeous. And we sure don't have bridges like that one here in Indiana!

I am a fisherman also. My favorite is the steelhead! Me and a bud go each fall up to the Trinity river in CA. We have been doing this for 17 yrs. For the first time in 17 years, I lost two nice steelhead by tightening the drag too tight. It wasn't until after the second lost fish I figured out what I was doing. I panicked! My buddy said that he seen me do that in 17 years and I had to agree.
Andy, your river looks like my home river (the San Lorenzo) in the winter time. Of course, your bridge looks much classier than my concrete bridge. In the summer time, there is barely any water in it. But, it has a nice run of steelhead (up to15 pounds) in the winter time.

john those are too funny - i had one at some point in life that put one eye way up high and i looked seriously drunk or drugged up and they added a red scar going down my throat - i think they have some buttons on their side like "move eye up", "add scar", "distort mouth"....
