Hi everyone – glad to be along. I am a woman in my 40’s, happily married (to Allagash) and I love to rockhound. Matter of fact, that’s what we did on our honeymoon - went to several sites in Western Maine. It was awesome! I am usually very lucky in finding some sort of lovely specimen, although here in Maine that’s not too difficult if you have a bit of persistence.
My favorite stone is tourmaline.

Welcome aboard! Did you find or buy that watermelon tourmaline in your avatar? I bet it's from Paris, or close by.
I'm heading to Maine this summer to dig/sift for crystals. They even have a "Mine and Dine"! How cool is that?
Any recommendations and sites that I simply can't miss?
Darryl.

I know, I know! I got excited when I saw the watermelon tourmaline from Maine. My brain shut down and I saw 2004 as 2014. Possibly an undiagnosed dyslexic manoeuver.
Shucks! I was hoping you wouldn't notice. LOL
