Hi Billy I'm new to this as well, and have found this site very useful. A good UK supplier is www.manchesterminerals.co.uk - very fast delivery and easy to order online.

Hey Billyd, welcome to the board. Back in the days when I was a transmission engineer for GM, I used to work with a GM plant in Strasbourg, France a lot. The product engineer there was a Scot named, "Sangster Kissel". A very traditional name. He was a very delightful fellow, and one of the things I miss most about working, meeting people like him. Being a true Scot, he LOVED golf. What part of Scotland is Angus in? We have a town called Montrose here in Genesee County, Michigan where I live.

Hi Billy, Welcome to the forum! I've been here a few months but still consider myself a newbie, learning all the time. You definitely found a great forum for it. I just started trying my hand at wire wrapping so can't help you there.

the accents are a little hard to decipher there, but we got on OK for the most part. i worked for a company that had a lot of foreign nationals there, so i kinda picked up on the various speech patterns.
we were in a little village somewhere in the back and beyond where the Pub owner refused to serve me at a bar (cuz i was female?), he didn't say, just ignored us until we left! but other than that, the folks were friendly.
i'd like to go back there some day.
