Hello! My name is Exotica, and I am a jewelry artisan. I have collected rocks and mineral specimens for as long as I can remember. I am in the middle of expanding my repertoire to include wire wrap and learning tumbling and other lapidary skills to help with that, although I have wanted to learn for a long time. It has been a ton of fun and totally fascinating. I am waiting until payday (another sale ) to purchase some lapidary and tumbling books, so suggestions are welcome on that front. In the meantime, I intend to pester for the tips and knowledge I need! This site is an amazing resource! ;D

Welcome Exotica! I bow to your jewlery making skills. That is something I am a newbe at and would love to swap info with you. I am also more informed about vibes than rotary tumblers (my vibe recently passed, rest it's soul, but it's all I've ever used. My new tumbler will be rotary) so I may be of some help. Again, welcome and enjoy this informative forum and it's WAY fun members.

Thank you both for the warm welcome! Cookie, feel free to email me about anything I can help you with: Exotica@ExoticGlimmerings.com. I have a CDROM wire wrap course I am currently using, along with a few books, but I have been making beaded jewelry for almost 20 years. If I don't have the answer to something, I can probably find the answer somewhere . I would be glad to help in anyway I can. So far, I have been having a lot of fun with wire wrap. I didn't realize until I started how many of the skills I already have transfer right on over. I have a jig on the way, and I can't wait to have a chance to play with that!

Thanks for the warm welcomes! Cher, where are you in Minnesota? I lived in Eden Prarie for awhile a long time ago. I like your little wavy guy.
