I just started getting into the hobby. I know absolutely nothing about rock tumbling or collecting of rocks, I just know, I like what I see, I have bought a few geodes and other rocks that I like in the past. I can’t even pronounce the names of the rocks that came on the sheet with them. Pretty pathetic, huh? My mother-in-law got me a 3lbs tumbler for x-mas and I want to learn about it all. The wife does wire and beads and I hopefully plan on tumbling and getting a rock saw and making stuff for her to use.

Hi Jim, you are definitely in the right place. I've only been tumbling about a year and didn't know a thing when I started. Even before I started tumbling, a never met a rock I didn't like! Don't be afraid to ask any question; everybody here is more than happy to help anyway they can, You might also take a trip through the member's photos - we have a bit of everything here. Check out Sands and KD's cabojohns/cabokrazy's. The both put one up and have a contest for a name - winner gets the stone. Some awesome stones there. Lot's of good folks and good info on the forum. llana

Hi Jim Welcome to the board, I've learnt a lot here. I'm new to all this too, my first ever load has finally been put into the polish cycle yesterday, its a fun hobby but I have found it really tests your patience !
