Hi My name is Juniper. I am a rock loving hair stylist by day. I am so glad I found this site, so much info!!! I don't know to many other people in my area who loves rocks. I joined one rock club in town, but they were not very friendly. I had questions about opalized petrified wood, that I found here. I have tumbling a year now, and it is so fun. I wish I could hike- find- tumble all the time! Juniper

Hello from Southwestern Kansas,
I am really behind on greeting the new people to the board.
I used to live in Lake Bay, WA in 1976, it was just a spot along the road ... hard to say how big it is now.
Welcome,
John

Welcome from north of the frozen tundra (Northern Wisconsin).
Not sure where your from in Washington, but I've been out there twice, when my husband worked out there and you know, I am so jealous. Very beautiful country!

Darn, I was in that area about two years ago (Centralia - Tumwater). At the time I probably didn't look at the ground once for agates or any cool rocks. The rock addiction wasn't full blown yet, I guess. I was too busy looking at the huge trees and wonderful plants that can grow out there. I was even jealous of the cool looking weeds growning in the ditch. This year my husband worked north of Seatle for about a month and I did go out there and loaded his truck up with all sorts of rocks. Don't know what most of them are of course.
