Hi My name is Robert and I'm from a northern suburb of Minneapolis Minnesota. I found this sight because of the kiddy tumbler we bought our 5 year old daughter for Christmas. Everywhere we go,she is picking up rocks and bringing them home. I'm sure we have been seen on every local store parking lot camera picking up rocks from around the parking berms. Well she lost interest quickly in the grinding and polishing part, but dad caught the tumbling bug. I think I have read just about every post on this board in the past couple of months and learned so much from you all. The noisy kiddy tumbler now sits in the closet but the CE tumbler I bought runs 24/7. I'm now addicted to the wonderful rocks and reading all your posts

rob that's exactly how i got started. my daughter has no interest at this point in the tumbling process but her love for rocks has been planted. shame we don't live where we can collect rocks other than gravel but she enjoys that too and they do make nice tumbled rocks.

Hi Rob You sure found the right place if your into tumbling and rocks. I know what you mean by catching up on the reading, I think I spent most of last summer and early fall reading before I finally signed up. There's just so much infomation and help here. Northern part of Minneapolis, I'm about 3 hours north of you in Northern Wisconsin

Hi Rob, just wanted to say hi and wondered how long it would be before you add another tumbler or two ! It seems it gets us all that way, today a tumbler tomorrow the basement , garage, or spare room is full of rocks and saws and so on and so on! Bob
